Southeastern Songwriter Series was established in 2019 to provide a platform for aspiring singer songwriters to share their words and melody. The format is "in the round". Each writer takes turn playing three original songs to a listening audience that is so respectfully quiet you can hear a pin drop. As we like to say, the audience is as important to the show as the songwriters because without them listening, the stories are never heard.
SESS is held once month at the Fox's Lair in Downtown Augusta Georgia. All levels of writers are welcome. You don't have to be a great singer or player. Just come with the passion.
We are hoping for a "listening room environment". We as attendees to please refrain from conversations during the performances so we can have the best experience possible. The audience is key in making this an amazing time for all. Without the audience the songwriters have no one to tell their stories to, so they are as important to the show as the writers.
